Early in the summer of ’17, Division 6 was invited to work on a virtual reality art exhibit called “Before the War” by Tyler Jackson. My role was the lead Unity3D developer. Our job was to take the 3D models from the modeler, the music from the composer and the direction from the director and create the functioning application. The project grew (as these things often do) and evolved into an fully immersive experience of which I’m very proud.
The show opened at the LUMP gallery in Raleigh, NC at “First Friday: August 2017”. The show was a huge success! Over 100 people were able to experience it first hand, and we even had to turn away more than 40 people (who will hopefully come back to try the experience sometime this month). We even got the cover of City Week, a local paper covering art in the Triangle and more. This was a great way to introduce the Unity3D and VR capabilities of Division 6.
If you’re looking at VR as a possible offering, reach out, we’d love to meet with you and help you achieve your vision!
